Workshop Description

Thanks to the efforts of many people who are building the energy of CI in Taamaki Makaurau, our practice is growing in multiple dimensions, and this weekend aims to contribute to this evolution from a space of care and deep listening. We come together to dance, and at the same time we are bringing our whole delicious complex human selves to the mix. It's important to stay compassionate to that complexity and all its manifestations. So the emphasis for this weekend is to S L O W D O W N. - To allow space for the J U I C Y, and the C HA L L E N G I N G. It is an invite for the safety, of body and heart. An invite to explore your sensate self, within a held container. An invite to be in community. Timetable - this will unfold over the next few weeks. Please trust and indulge me in this, and Im sure it will lead to a richer weekend. It will include, Somatic Warm Ups, Fundamentals, Time for Chats, Partnering Scores and Techniques, A Jam with Music, and a shared Pot Luck with Performance offerings. Expect Saturday 9am - 5pm and Evening social gathering, 6.30 - 10.30pm. Sunday 11am - 3pm. Venue: Saturday, The Button Factory - 2 Abbey Street, AKL Saturday Evening Gribblehirst Community Hub Sunday - Pt Chevalier Bowling Club Food Saturday Morning Tea and Lunch - BYO, there is a functioning clean kitchen!! Whoop Dinner - Potluck - details to come Sunday - BYO, bar will be open for Beer for those who can stay after Teachers and Facilitators. ‘We', at the moment are Rachel Ruckstuhl-Mann, Kristian Larsen, and Clare Luiten. There may be others joining the teaching and facilitation crew. Exchange and Enrol To accomodate diverse finances we are running this on a payment range. The upper end supports our organising and teaching efforts, and ongoing capacity to run such events, the lower end just covers costs. Please choose in a way that you feel you can support both yourself and the event.
