Service Description

Somatic Integration can be highly effective in relieving chronic pain, improving bodily function, and recovering from common musculoskeletal conditions. Somatic Integration is designed to bring structural awareness, mobility and integrity, to your system. What to expect? Somatic Integration are generally slow and gentle exercises, which eventually become familiar and can be integrated into your daily routine. The human nervous system, which controls our posture and movement, must learn new things very slowly. With practice, we are able to gradually speed up and perform movements more quickly while still maintaining form and control. Why work one on one? Often we are not even conscious of our own patterns that reinforce less then optimal movement patterns, and having the outside practitioner, guiding and supporting your unwinding process can be most beneficial. Each session is individually tailored for your needs, abilities and goals. Getting you out of pain is a priority and then learning together exercises which will support your posture to help maintain wellbeing. The treatment is received on a simple mat on the floor. You are clothed ideally in lose, warm clothing.
