Stressed Young Man

"Clare can tell just by looking at how you carry yourself where your body is sore, straining, stuck, or generally holding tension. She frankly knows more about your own body than you do!

Over the past 10 years Clare has greatly helped my recovery from three serious traumatic injuries, as well as soothed the general aches and pains that are now part and parcel of 21st Century living.

She is an engaging , interesting character and all round good person - I'd definitively recommend entrusting your body to her good care!"

Head Trauma and Concussion

If you are feeling dizzy or confused after a hit to the head, or if your head keeps pounding with headaches, you’re not alone. Many people also experience nausea, sensitivity to bright lights or loud noises, and suddenly feel irritable or anxious for no obvious reason.

Has your mood taken a nosedive, or are you feeling more sluggish and out of sorts?  If you have suffered a head injury, it is most likely because of this.

What's good to realise is that you might be feeling sad, mad, and upset because of the concussion and not because there is anything  "wrong" with you.

Getting the right treatment and some self compassion can go a long way.

How does Craniosacral Therapy help?

If you've had a head injury, concussion, or TBI and haven't found the relief you've needed Craniosacral Therapy (CST) can help. It’s a gentle, hands-on approach which helps your whole being relax and start to rebalance.

CST works by delicately releasing tensions and restrictions around the brain and spine. When these are freer, it can ease headaches, dizziness, and other symptoms that often stick around after a head injury.

But it’s not just about the physical bits. CST supports your body’s natural healing processes, helping your nervous system function better and reducing inflammation. And because head injuries can also hit you emotionally — causing stress, anxiety, or feelings of being overwhelmed — CST’s calming techniques can help you feel more grounded and safe again.

Many people find that with regular sessions, their brain and nervous system start to function better, which can make a real difference in managing ongoing post-concussion symptoms. It’s a holistic approach to healing that helps you move forward, regain your balance, and feel more like yourself, even if other therapies haven’t quite hit the mark.
